皆さんこんにちは。
前回書いてからだいぶ時間がたってしまいました。前向きに書けることがありませんでした。すみません。今シーズンはフラストレーションが溜まるシーズンでした。今年は自分の生活の中で、いろいろな変化がありました。コンディションはかなり良くなっています。トレーニングを積んで、さらに体力を強化しました。自分が活躍できなかった理由の一つに、役割の変化があります。今まではどのような状況で登板するか予測できましたが、今年はスタートでつまづき、いろいろな状況で投げなければなりませんでした。時に集中力を欠いてしまいましたが、確実に何かを学びました。アメリカのメジャーリーグでプレーする親しい友人が真実を言い当てていました。彼が言うには、「マイケル、長くプレーしていれば悪いシーズンはあるものだ。でも良いプレーヤーとは、悪いシーズンを何度も経験するくらい長くプレーするものなのだ。」と。これは真実です。12年間プロでプレーして、今までに2度、大変なシーズンがありました。理由は明らかなのですからね。
今年は26イニングしか投げていませんが、皆さんにお約束できるのは、この26イニングが僕のすべてではない、と言うことです。本来の自分は今年お見せした働きよりもはるかに優れているはずです。
この場を借りて誕生日のプレゼントをくれたファンの皆さんにお礼を申し上げたいと思います。どれも素晴らしいプレゼントで、すごく感謝しています。皆さんからのカードやプレゼント一つ一つが、僕を笑顔にしてくれます。皆さん、ありがとう。
これまでよりも良い状態で戻ってきます。

Hi everyone,
It has been a long time since I wrote last. I haven't had anything good to say. I am sorry. This season has been very frustrating for me. There have been many changes in my life this year.
My condition has been getting much better. I am training and have gotten stronger. Changing my role has been a contributing factor to why I didn't play so well. I use to know when I would pitch every time, but this year I started slow and found myself in many different games. I lost my focus at times, but I have definitely learned my lesson. A close friend of mine in the majors in America spoke with me and said a very true point. He said "Micheal if you play long enough, you will have bad seasons but the good players are the ones who play long enough to have more than one of them." This is a true point, 12 years professional baseball and I have had 2 rough years. My other seasons have been very solid.
I have only 26 innings this year and I can promise you all, these 26 innings don't define me. I am much better than what I have shown this year.
I want to take this time to thank all my fans for my birthday presents. They were all great and much appreciated. Each and everyone of my cards and gifts brought a smile to my face "thank you all."
I will be back better than before.
